The company claims that this is the kind of automobile that will fill car showrooms a few years from now. It can run via three modes – pure (solely electric, can run up to 35 miles), hybrid (can run up to 600 miles), and power (the 280-horsepower gasoline engine is combined with a 70-hp electric motor). With Volvo’s hybrid technology, performance and fuel-efficiency coincide to bring you what seems to be the vehicle that will most probably rule the roads in the next generation.

Ford bills the 2012 Focus All-Electric ($TBA) as the world’s first-ever first five-passenger all-electric vehicle – a car that doesn’t need even a drop of gas or an oil-change. Dandy, eh? It joins the ranks of the likes of the Nissan Leaf; but with its purchasable 240-volt charging station, the Focus Electric can be fully-charged in half the time it takes for the Leaf to do the same. The vehicle can be as easily charged as a mobile phone; plug it in overnight and it’ll be ready for a day’s ride when you wake up – that’s the end for paying for gas at the pump. Hell, you can even monitor its charge via a mobile app. The revolutionary Focus sports a combined fuel efficiency rating of over 100 MPGe, enabling you to have a smooth, near silent, and guilt-free ride.

Lexus is once again trying its hand at constructing an automobile that harmoniously combines high-performance and fuel-efficiency. Their latest concept car, the Lexus LF-LC ($TBA) is a hybrid-powered automobile that is designed to pique the interest of luxury buyers as it takes a sportier and more contemporary approach in its design. Apart from its noted performance and practicality, its maroon-red finish and front bumper grill are going to turn a lot of heads. The idea behind the vehicle is deemed as the driving point of Lexus’ future – and with its enormous potential, the future keeps getting brighter for the company.

The Dodge Charger Redline ($TBA) is a concept automobile that is powered by Mopar. It’s an amped-up version of the Charger and sports all three stages of Mopar performance kits. The kits include a full-width carbon fiber low spoiler, a two-piece grille, 20-inch wheels, carbon fiber rear spoiler, performance exhaust, a front cross brace for stability, and high performance brake linings. The offers 590 horses which is made possible by the aluminum 426 HEMI engine supplied by Mopar. If the Dodge Charger was a mere animal before, now, it can be referred to as a beast.

Gathering inspiration from the iconic Bullet 350, the Bullet 500 B5 ($5,500 and up) advances on the legendary bike’s performance but at the same time maintaining its classic aesthetic. Whether it’s an already fast car, an SUV, or even a truck, Hennessy Performance (HPE) prides itself in turning automobiles into top-of-the-line speedsters. HPE will once again be weaving its magic with their latest offering – the HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep ($235,000). Slated for a 2013 release, these Ferrari-like Jeeps will only see a very limited production – only 24 will be made, to be exact.  The Twin Turbo Jeep is a revamped – to say the least – version of the very new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee STR8. HPE elevates the Jeep Grand Cherokee by modifying its displacement from 6.4 L to 7.0 L and augmenting it with a twin-turbo forced-induction system. With these changes, the jeep is able to launch from 0 to 60 mph in a matter of 3.1 measly seconds. It seems that HPE has struck gold once again.

Being the first four-door coupe of the BMW, it spares no expense in presenting you the very definition of luxury. The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe ($TBA) sports a polished rear seat layout, providing the chauffeured space, utmost comfort, and sophistication. The exterior appears as a classic blend of class and sporty that feels modern and vintage at the same time. Under the hood, a new 450hp V8 heads a range of three TwinPower Turbo engines, which also includes six-cylinder petrol and diesel units. The 2012 Audi A1 Quattro  ($64,000) is a limited-edition release (only 333 units, to be exact) that improves on every single aspect of the already-impressive Audi A1. The Quattro has an even sleeker and more polished design; hell, even its headlights get a badass tweaking. Performance-wise, the renowned car company spares no expense to make it stand out from more casual models. The vehicle is capable of putting out remarkable 252 hp at 6,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque from 2,500 to 4,500 rpm – an increase of more than 70 hp and 74 lb-ft over the standard 1.4-liter A1. It also sports Audi’s famous all-wheel drive system. Audi fans will surely be thrilled for this ride.

The SL line’s rich 60-year tradition is continued by the newest addition to its storied family – the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL ($TBA). What sets this apart from the SL’s of yore is that it is the first and only SL that is made almost entirely out of aluminum. And because of its distinctive composition, it is 275 pounds lighter than its predecessor. Another first for this convertible is that it presents two different suspension systems – the standard Agility Control Suspension or the optional Active Body Control suspension system. Both options have an electromechanical system with speed-sensitive power steering and a turning ratio that varies according to the steering wheel angle. This enables improved stability and protection when driving fast. The innovative feature also reduces the amount of steering effort required when parking and maneuvering. With those, the 2013 SL will prove to be a smooth ride all throughout.
