The Spinnaker may be affordable, but the artistry, care and attention to detail in which Stolas crafted this watch is worth more than what you’re paying for. Besides the craftsmanship, the Spinnaker is loaded with aesthetic appeal from the bezel, to the dial, and even the straps.

The first thing you notice when you unpack the Spinnaker from its storage case is its weight. A man’s watch should have a nice weight to it and the Spinnaker certainly does. The heft of its signature steel case is substantial without weighing you down. The case is nicely polished with a screwdown crown which makes the watch waterproof with a depth rating of 200 meters. Paired with a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective Sapphire crystal, the Spinnaker can easily withstand whatever you or mother nature throws at it.

The most distinguishing features of the Spinnaker is the sharp carbon fiber dial framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel. The bezel insert is luminated from minute one through twenty which adds a nice touch to the Spinnaker’s design. Its high contrast face is very easy to read with large hour markers, white-tipped skeleton hands, a date window and a lightning bolt second hand.

In the dark, the Spinnaker is unbelievably bright. We tallied four different luminescent paint on the Spinnaker: the hour markers and hand tips, the teal on the bezel, the blue twelve and six hour markers, and the orange second hand. Its luminescent properties are definitely one of the brightest we’ve seen. This watch glows even in a lit environment.

The Spinnaker comes equipped with a durable Nato strap featuring stripes matching the colors of the bezel, second hand and dial. And as an added bonus, Stolas includes a black rubber strap with blue detail stitching. Both bands go great with everything and are easily interchangeable to fit your lifestyle. For an even more elegant look, the Spinnaker is offered with an optional brushed stainless steel bracelet that match the highly polished case.

As functionality goes, the Spinnaker is great at telling time. It is afterall crafted with an automatic, self-winding movement. But when it comes to style, this watch delivers more than most.
